Conductor Stringing
Heliventures uses a specialised side hook pulling system to work with a number of power companies, assisting with the installation of new and replacement conductor. This method is highly efficient, speeding up projects for linesmen, and ensures minimal down time for the networks.
Power Line Surveys
We also conduct line inspections across the South Island identifying any potential hazards such as bird nests or damage which may impact the power supply in the future. We have wire strike kits fitted to the helicopters to minimise the risk when flying in close proximity to wires. We have various helicopter types to suit our clients needs
Human Sling
Our AS355NP Category A twin engine helicopter is perfect for all human sling operations. We can perform joint testing, installation or removal of helical shunt, insulators and patch rods, and all other general live line operations with experienced pilots and crew.
Precision Lifting
Our precision long lining is another service which comes in very useful for lifting in power poles in hard-to-reach locations increasing job efficiency. We have both single and twin engine helicopters available to suit clients requirements or specifications.
